Visiting a culinary place on Tenerife

adminNovember 17, 2019

Slowly I have the feeling that there is really nothing more. I’m full, packed. But Teresa keeps serving me food. I smile. “No, after that it really doesn’t fit anymore!” I tell her when she takes my plate. But the dessert with which she then comes to walk also looks too attractive to be left behind…

Earlier this day I arrived at Finca la Hacienda, Teresa

Via a narrow road I drove up. When I stopped to enjoy the view, I suddenly saw it on the building: Finca la Hacienda. The place I was looking for. In a bar in the town of Tierra del Trigo I met owner Teresa, where she told me to see her finca. “It’s not difficult! Just drive up.

”After my visit to the town, I decided to follow her advice, and suddenly I was there. For this beautiful place, with an endless view of the coast of Tenerife.

About Tenerife, about their place, about its past … When it comes to Spanish cuisine, it certainly doesn’t seem to stop. “I love cooking!” She shines.

“Perhaps the best thing about running my own guesthouse is that I can enjoy myself in the kitchen. Our guests are sometimes scared that they will go back home, “Teresa laughs. “That is of course not my intention. But life is not enough to eat well and not too much, right? ”

I get a lot of local dishes served by Teresa. The self-harvested wine by Teresa and her husband Baudilio is a good example of this. This flows abundantly during dinner. “Tomorrow we will put the barbecue on Eliza!” In my mind I see myself eating endless amounts of food again.

For now I decide to stop for a moment and find my bed. Belly out. Because that is desperately needed! I hug Teresa and thank her. “If there is anything, call us! We live in the cottage next to the finca, so we are always close by, “Teresa assures me. A great idea. “Good night Teresa, thanks for this culinary spectacle!”
